Welcome to WHTW!

We’re so glad you’re here. WHTW is dedicated to bridging the gap between traditional therapy and everyday support. Rooted in therapeutic psychology, we offer guidance that is informed and intentional — yet warm, approachable, and non-clinical. We’re here for young people who need support, structure, and emotional growth but may not be ready for clinical intervention. Our space feels safe, relatable, and empowering — helping them build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self. We look forward to walking alongside you on the journey to WIN..

what is WIN?

Transforming our young people through

WIN.

What is WIN?

At WHTW Mentoring, WIN stands for Wonder, Implement, and Nourish — three pillars that guide how we support young people in a way that feels empowering, not intimidating.

We encourage young people to Wonder — to dream boldly, explore who they are, and imagine possibilities beyond their current circumstances.

We help them Implement — turning those dreams into action through practical tools, mindset development, accountability, and skill-building.

And we Nourish — strengthening their emotional and mental well-being, building confidence, resilience, and a grounded sense of identity.

Through this WIN approach, WHTW Mentoring provides meaningful guidance that supports the whole child — offering mentorship that complements emotional support and makes personal growth feel safe, accessible, and inspiring.

School Partnerships & Pastoral Collaboration

At WHTW Mentoring, we believe that young people thrive best when the adults supporting them are working together. That’s why collaboration with schools is a core part of our holistic mentoring approach.

When home, school, and mentoring are aligned, meaningful and lasting growth becomes possible.

A safe and supportive environment

What sessions look like?

At WHTW Mentoring, every session is designed to provide a safe, structured and encouraging space where young people feel heard, respected and understood. We prioritise building trust and rapport first, creating an environment where young people feel comfortable expressing themselves openly. Each mentoring journey is personalised, ensuring support is tailored to the individual’s needs, personality and goals.

Sessions are typically 60 minutes and combine guided conversation with practical tools and reflective exercises. Young people are supported in exploring their thoughts, emotions and behaviours in a constructive way. Sessions may include confidence-building activities, emotional regulation strategies, identity exploration, mindset work and structured goal-setting. Young people are also given small, manageable actions to apply between sessions, encouraging real-life growth beyond our time together.

The structure of the journey

Mentoring follows a clear and purposeful structure. We begin with a free consultation to understand the young person’s needs and determine whether WHTW is the right fit. This is followed by an initial assessment session where goals and focus areas are identified. Most young people benefit from a 6–8 week mentoring programme, allowing time for meaningful development, reflection and measurable progress. Regular reviews ensure we stay aligned with the young person’s growth

Session locations

Sessions can take place in the client’s home, within their school setting, or in a mutually agreed public space such as a quiet café or community area. All locations are arranged in advance with safety, confidentiality and professionalism as a priority. Regardless of where sessions are held, our commitment remains the same — to provide consistent, impactful and high-quality mentoring support.

A Structured and Professional Approach

WHTW Mentoring delivers structured, outcome-focused support designed to complement a school’s pastoral system. Each programme is planned with clear objectives, defined timeframes and measurable focus areas. We work collaboratively with safeguarding leads, pastoral teams and senior staff to ensure our mentoring aligns with the school’s values, policies and student wellbeing priorities.

Clear Structure and Measurable Impact

Programmes typically run over 6–12 weeks, either through 1-to-1 sessions or small group mentoring. Each session is 45–60 minutes and follows a structured framework rooted in confidence-building, emotional literacy and personal development. Progress reviews can be provided to the school (within safeguarding and confidentiality guidelines), outlining engagement levels, areas of growth and recommended next steps.

Targeted Support for Identified Students

Students are referred based on identified needs such as low confidence, emotional regulation difficulties, disengagement, behavioural challenges or social pressures. Following referral, initial goals are agreed and sessions are tailored to support individual development. Mentoring provides a consistent, trusted adult presence for students who may need additional emotional guidance beyond the classroom setting.

Safeguarding, Communication and Partnership

WHTW Mentoring operates with safeguarding at the forefront. All sessions take place on school premises during agreed times, and communication with designated staff members is maintained throughout the programme. We aim to build a strong partnership with schools, supporting staff by reinforcing positive behaviours, resilience and self-belief in students — contributing to improved wellbeing, engagement and overall school culture.

Meet the founder

Hi there! I’m Ife Suggett – Founder of WHTW

WHTW was born from experience, nurtured with knowledge, and strengthened by years of hands-on work in schools. The idea came from my own struggles with mental health and the challenge of finding support that truly fit my needs. Traditional therapy felt intimidating, and standard mentoring didn’t quite cover what I needed. That’s when I noticed a gap in the support available for young people.

Determined to fill that gap, I studied Therapeutic Psychology and spent five years working in secondary school pastoral teams. These experiences gave me the insight, tools, and expertise to create something different – something that genuinely meets young people where they are.

WHTW offers psychologically informed mentoring designed to empower, support, and guide young people toward their full potential. We understand that clinical interventions can feel overwhelming, and not every young person has reached that threshold – but that doesn’t mean they don’t need support. Through WHTW, we provide mentoring rooted in therapeutic frameworks, helping our clients grow, thrive, and step confidently into their greatness.

I am here to meet your young person where they are, guide them with understanding, and help them flourish – because every young person deserves support that truly works.
